Maybe I just don't get it.
I mean I believe in quality, and getting what you pay for and all.
But my local big box store is selling a 3 parson dome tent for $20 this week.
Are these tents really twenty-nine times better?
What can be done for $100?
For a lot of people just starting out that will probably only use them three times a year are we on the list steering them towards a lot of real expensive stuff to keep a few grams off of our backs?
Please understand that this is not meant to target anyone specifically but sometimes I think that the list collectively forgets that camping can be done cheap and easy (and lightweight).
