Re: [BackpackingLight] Making a sleeping quilt

Lydia,
Try: http://www.owfinc.com/ for supplies, too.
Alcohol is somewhat less than Esbit in terms of heat/weight.
About 20-25% less. White gas is about 50+% greater. Diesel is about
55% greater, but, there are a lot of diesel fuels. Wax is higher, but
difficult to burn, cleanly. Butane and propane seem higher than white
gas, but require pressurization and special canisters, so, this is a bit
bogus. Alcohol can be stored in a plastic bottle. Esbit, most anywhere,
'cept it will deteriorate, slowly. Wax is anywhere.
The tables are on zenstoves.com.
My thoughts only . . .

Also, how do esbit tablets compare to alcohol in heat production. I'm sure there have been discussions on this, but I need a memory refresher. Thanks. Lydia
