Anyone own a mountainsmith cross country or circuit? I just picked up several of them for some courses, events and guided backpacking trips we will be offering this season.
I am interested in getting some reviews on these packs. Are they durable? To me they seem pretty durable. The price was right, so I could not refuse. I cannot believe the features on these packs. The circuit has a great detachable day pack, with a pocket for water.
They are a far cry from the vapor trail (VT) I am used to as my personal pack. However, as a guide I decided I will set my vapor trail aside and try the circuit. It is a bit larger, and has more options for carrying and packing. The majority of my gear is very light, however it is bulky so the extra room is very welcome.
It is much heavier than my VT, but feels very comfy and secure on my back. Backpacks seem to have come a long way in recent years. I recently just got rid of some older packs I had forever. One I actually had since I was in boyscouts. WOW, that thing was beat. It was an old external frame.
Thanks in advance for the feedback.
